Department of Nephrology - Dialysis
            Nephrology is the branch of medical discplines dealing with the diseases of the kidney. It concerns the diagnosis, the prevention and the treatment of renal diseases.
In Brief
            The nephrology department of RHMS closely collaborates with University Hospitals Erasme and Saint-Luc (Brussels - Belgium), especially for the follow-up of kidney transplantated patients.
            The therapeutic approaches are vast and include conservative medical treatments (anti-hypertensive drugs, immunosuppresive medication, diet advice,...), dialysis (home dialysis, low-care dialysis, in- hospital dialysis, peritoneal dialysis),  hemofiltration, plasmapheresis, and renal transplantation.
